Crimea Medal unnamed as issued. Single clasp for Sebastopol

Indian Mutiny Medal officially named to: CAPT. W. SHEEHY. VOLUNTEER CAVY. Single clasp for Defence of Lucknow.

Order of Medjidieh unnamed as issued.

Turkish Crimea unnamed as issued.

Sold with Afghan Medal to family member. Officially named to: PAYMR. R. SHEEHY 15TH HUSSRS. 

All very fine condition.

Captain Sheehy first served with the 64th Foot and transferred to the 81st Foot. He served in the Persian campaign (medal and clasp) under Brigadier General Jacob CB. Sheehy served in the Crimea being awarded the Order of Medjidieh (LG March 5th 1858). Captain Sheehy served as aide de camps to Havelock and was mentioned in despatches before dying of cholera at Cawanpore.
