William Wallace Dunlop was born on 15 May 1808. Appointed an Ensign in the 50th Madras Native Infantry in January 1826 and promoted to Lieutenant in March 1828, Captain in January 1837 and Major in April 1855. Lieutenant-Colonel Dunlop retired on 31 December 1861 and died on 8 September 1862. Sold with copied service record 1826-45 and some other research.
